Teachers and educational workers hired by LEAD commit to a minimum three-year term of employment. To start the LEAD application process, follow the steps below. Application ProcessÂ
- Apply to work with the LEAD Education Group
a. Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university *We strongly suggest that all our employees have or pursue graduate level work in education or a related field
b. Required: demonstrated ability to learn a foreign language
c. Required: four recommendations - two professional, one academic, one personal
d. Required: one psychological and one personality exam, evaluation of results with counselor, pass/fail
e. Required: a description of past teaching experience* *If you lack teaching experience, we will be able to fit it into your on-field training
f. Required: an interview with LEAD Human Resources
2. Participate in an Immersion Trip
a. Join LEAD in a two-week trip to North Africa, the Middle East, Europe and beyond
b. Explore language(s), participate in deep culture study and live with a host family
e. Practice cross-cultural adaptation, initiative and team-building
3. Accept a three-year minimum commitment job offer after successful completion of an Immersion Trip
4. Actively seek sponsorship for first-year activities* (language learning, deep culture study and living expenses)
5. Move to your new educational site
6. Spend one year* in language and culture learning, networking educational contacts and opportunities and living with a host family
7. Utilize your training, education, talents and skills to champion educational development in your area(s) of influence for the remaining two years of your contract*
*The LEAD Education Group requires a minimum three-year commitment from its overseas educators; however, we welcome applications from professionals who desire to spend more than three years working for us in educational settings overseas. If you desire to spend more than three years working in educational development overseas, please indicate that on your application. We will provide language and cultural training proportionate to the amount of time you desire to work with and for us.
